A small, independent studio making relaxed, free-to-play social games for grown-ups in Aotearoa New Zealand — no wallets, no pressure, just a pleasant few minutes whenever you want one.
Our story
Southern Star Play started with a simple idea: the fun of a classic reel game, minus everything stressful about it. No deposits, no chasing losses, no fine print — just five hand-crafted little worlds you can dip into for free. We're based in Auckland and build everything in-house, from the artwork to the code, with New Zealand players in mind.
What we make
Everything on the site is a free social game that runs right in your browser. Each title has its own mood — a fern-lined Kiwi night, a neon deep-space grid, a misty bayou, a colour-shifting jungle, and a sunny road trip — and they all share one thing in common:
